Passengers increasingly require seamless, high bandwidth connectivity, whether for work, study or leisure, the provision of these services is becoming ever more strategically important to bus and coach operators. Increasingly operators are leveraging technologies like 4G, 5G and even dual modem installations in order to provide the bandwidth required for applications including ticketing, on-board data, camera systems and passenger WiFi.

Panorama’s 2x 4×4 MiMo 4G/5G Megalodon®, 4×4 MiMo 4G/5G Mako 5G and 2×2 MiMo 4G/5G Great White® antennas are designed for mounting externally on buses and coaches. Versions of these products are available featuring up to 6×6 WiFi in addition to optional GPS/GNSS. The antennas are certified to IP69K ingress and IK10 impact protection levels to meet the challenges of frequent cleaning and contact with low branches.

For internal use, the LPM[X]W-24-72 and RAYM2-24-58 ranges are ideal for distribution of WiFi signals inside buses and coaches with their low-profile design and discrete appearance. All these solutions include cabling which meets UN ECE R118 approval.
