Nearly 30 years on from the first release, TETRA (Terrestrial Trunked Radio) still represents the global standard for secure digital voice communications. Features including one-to-many communication, direct mode and gateway support, along with security and range, have made TETRA the choice of first responders, utilities, government agencies and NGOs worldwide.

A significant and mature eco-system of radio devices for fixed-site, portable and vehicle-based applications provide a level of flexibility, and as the technology has matured, it has been increasingly combined with other devices to provide increased data bandwidth using 4G/5G technology and local area network coverage using WiFi.
