Antennas for electric vehicle chargers
Meeting the connectivity demands of EV charging
The increased rollout of EV chargers has emphasised the importance of reliable remote communication with, and control of, these devices. EV chargers range from simple domestic/home units, which may require an embedded antenna to supply a local area wireless connection for user validation and remote control, through to more complex open space units for public use, which need to take payment, control usage and report faults.
EV chargers generally require antennas which are both safe (fire resistance and high voltage isolation) and efficient to maintain network connectivity in remote or challenging locations like parking garages. Public chargers in exposed locations are also likely to require high levels of ingress protection and vandal resistance to ensure continued functionality over their service life. Panorama has a range of products at various price points that can meet these specific requirements.
