Provide Reliable Connectivity for JACK the Security Robot of the Future
The Challenge
Like all markets, the security sector is constantly developing and evolving and Panorama is proud to be able to supply the connectivity for the future of this market.
TBC-France S.A.S. are at the forefront of this evolution and over the last year have had a team of 12 engineers working tirelessly on their innovative new surveillance robot.
The design has focused on achieving the highest security, reliability and performance possible to provide security for sensitive environments such as ports, logistics platforms and detention centres.
To achieve this they also needed to provide excellent and reliable connectivity to these robots as they complete their assignments.
The Antenna
LGMTM-7-27-24-58
The LGMTM-7-27-24-58 is a high performance combination antenna with 2×2 MiMo LTE, 3×3 2.4/5.0GHz WiFi and also GPS/GNSS. Being ground plane independent the antenna can maintain a high performance on the non-metallic robot. The rugged durable housing provides excellent protection from the weather and vandalism. This means that JACK can patrol under the harshest environments and also have no concern of its antenna being attacked and damaged. The antenna provides a strong 4G connection to allow constant and reliable communications with the robot. The 3×3 MiMo WiFi allows for a variety of solutions, from allowing connection to a mesh network to providing a WiFi hotspot.

The Solution
In May 2018, TBC-France officially launched their new security robot JACK.
JACK is equipped with 8 state-of-the-art cameras, infrared HD PTZ cameras, he can travel up to 18kph, has a battery life of up to 12 hours and is an ideal surveillance asset for sensitive sites.
Through our French distributor, EBDS, Panorama was able to supply the LGMTM-7-27-24-58 to provide JACK with strong and reliable 4G coverage wherever he goes, his GPS location to track movements, and a variety of WiFi solution options.
With this connectivity, JACK can perform surveillance rounds autonomously transmitting real time 360o video, has advanced mobility and obstacle detection software and utilises embedded artificial intelligence. JACK will be fully certificated, marketed and available for rental at the end of 2018.
